SOLDIERS Rise.
Left to right, Genesis, Sephiroth and Angeal. Oh look where they landed!
I've been working so long on this, probably too long for the amount of people that are ever going to find it

(Update - 200 favs, I did not expect this! Thank you!) I had to upload it now or I'd never stop working on it, I'll probably come back to edit the imperfections.
Yes thats London in the background, yes Sephiroth wanted his own hat, yes you should run.
(View with One Winged Angel music for full effect)
Zachary, Zachary, where art thou?
EDIT: Knew I'd edit it ;D Added some mist, changed his coat a bit, still loads of bits I'm unhappy with but I just really need to leave it be!
Genesis, Sephiroth and Angeal belong to Square Enix.

The way London is just a dark mass with a faded outline on the background of a mud-colored sky, like drowned in clouds of dust and smoke so well-suggested that it almost feels like pressing your lungs only by looking at it and certainly makes the tension of an unexpected future visible in the air.
Sephiroth at the epicentre of the picture, surrounded by a menacing glowing aura and standing in what we can only guess to be... water? the Lifestream? Anyway, the way he is shown there, like a heavy presence, hair a curtain with a metallic hue, his stern eyes looking up with a piercing gaze while he gets out of the water preceded by his two loyal friends create an ascendent current of the picture and become the sharp peak of a slim, tall triangle created by his silhouette: his mind aspires to conquer the world to its highest promised lands while his heavy steps would leave an undying mark on the earth, never to become a mere memory. I see this idea very well-sugested by the composition's shape.
Sephiroth's trusted friends, standing on both his sides and preceding him on their way to the oblivious city give balance to the picture and the way they are shown from the back and already melting in the fog a few steps away, moves the accent even more on Sephiroth's figure that seems to glow from within, making him look like an angel of vengeance.
A great choice of colors, a very balanced and picturesque composition, a tell-tale, almost haunting image that makes you want to find out more about the story unfolding under your eyes. I can't get enough of watching it.
Sephiroth shows here as the centerpiece of this image, dark, powerfull and superior, with an amazing facial expression warning us of what he's going to do...take over our world. As his loyal companions, Genesis Rhapsodos and Angeal already stare at their first target, the ancient city of London.
One of the things that amazes me more in this picture, becides Sephiroth's glare that pierces though the screen like if it's not even there, is the color od the water...normaly, it would be dark and pollutted, but Sephiroth's presence appears to have purifyed it.
A truly amazing work ilustrating an event which I wold love to take part of....on Sephiroth's side, of course!
